Super Suds Laundry Helping Those In Need After Gatlinburg Wildfire

We want to congratulate Steve Tanner, owner of Super Suds Coin Laundry in Gatlinburg, and Electrolux / Wascomat commercial laundry distributor Cates Laundry for everything they are doing to help their community recover from the devastating fires. Super Suds was the only laundromat left in town that didn’t burn in the Gatlinburg fires. Owner Steve Tanner knew a lot of people lost everything — and he wanted to do something to help those in need.

This weekend, they held a Free Wash & Dry event and were able to launder over 8,200 pounds of laundry in nearly 300 washer loads during the two day event. Owner Steve Tanner said, “We will continue to offer no-profit wash & dry prices through December. Should sufficient funds be donated, we will provide another Free Wash & Dry event as soon as we can.”

Steve was extremely thankful to all who donated. “A special thank you to our co-sponsors Cates Laundry Equipment and Laundrylux as well as the following suppliers who contributed to our event: Southern Automatic Machinery Co. of Fayetteville, GA and Phoenix Supply Co.,of Knoxville, TN. We couldn’t have done it without you and all our friends, businesses, and supporters of the Gatlinburg Wildfire Laundry Fund.”
